Picanini pads and liners are made to give you something to look forward to during your period. I use a variety of fabrics – organic bamboo velours and fleeces, polyester PUL, imported flannels and super soft minky. Whether you aim for something made from totally certified organic fabrics or a pad that stays super-dry against your skin from synthetic fabrics, I have something that should suit you. I only use the best quality fabric and threads.

Much like wearing nice underwear, I hope that your purchases from Picanini will make you feel happier just knowing that you’re wearing them. I spend alot of time choosing fabric combinations that will go together (and sometimes dyeing fabrics to suit) to make your heart sing.

Picanini is run by Kirsten, who makes, photographs, lists, packages and posts everything in store (though I don’t make the menstrual cups!).

 I live on QLD’s Fraser Coast with my husband and my 3 youngest kids (I have 4). I have been a cloth nappy user on and off for the past 18 years, and using cloth menstrual pads became what seems to me, a natural progression. Sewing pads has become a way to indulge my love of beautiful and interesting fabrics, and a very satisfying creative outlet.
